§ 1 Name and Purpose of the Association

​

1. The name of the association is "Family Association Brossok". The Brossok name and family crest cannot be changed.

2. The purpose of the association is to promote family cohesion, to cultivate tradition, to cultivate a sense of family and to promote family relationships by bringing family members closer together, determining family history, maintaining the family's genealogical data, and preserving and continuing the name Brossok and the written transmission of the results of the family research to the individual members.

 

§ 2 Membership

​

1. Full members can be all adult descendants of the progenitor Daniel Martin who bear the name Brossok by birth or before marriage, as well as the wives of male members and adopted children.

2. Extraordinary members can be the husbands of members who have married out, as well as blood relatives who never bore the Brossok name.

3. Membership is through

1. an application to be submitted to the Board of Directors and submitted no later than eight weeks before the Family Day if the Family Day agrees with a simple majority of the voting members present, and

2. The application can be replaced by a request for membership by the Board of Directors if the person concerned agrees to the request within four weeks.

4. The Family Day decides on exceptions with a simple majority of the voting members present.

5. Membership ends by:

1st death

2. Voluntary Withdrawal

3. Exclusion

Voluntary resignation takes place by written deregistration to the chairman of the association. The exclusion can be decided with a 2/3 majority of all voting members. The person concerned must be informed in writing of the reasons for the intended exclusion no later than four weeks before the vote on the exclusion is taken. The person concerned can comment on the reasons in writing. This statement must be made known to the members entitled to vote before the vote.

§ 3 Organs of the association

§ 4 Board of Directors

​

1. The board consists of three members. It is elected secretly in separate ballots with a simple majority for six years. Re-election is permitted.

2. The board members agree on the allocation of offices.

3. The chairman must bear the name Brossok, be a full member and be personally elected to his office.

4. An office that has become vacant is taken over by another member of the board until the regular new election of the board.

5. The board carries out the resolutions of the family day.

6. The Board of Directors informs the members of the date of the next family day 1 year in advance. He sends out the invitations and a proposal for the provisional agenda 6 weeks in advance. Requests for the agenda must be submitted to the secretary 8 weeks before the family day.

7. The meetings of the family day are to be recorded.

8. The Board of Directors carries out its work on a voluntary basis.

 

§ 5 family day

​

1. The family day is the general meeting of the association. It takes place every 3 years.

2. The tasks of the family day are in particular:

1. Setting the agenda

2. Cash register check

3. Instructions to the Executive Board for its activities

4. Elections for the Board of Directors

5. Discharge of the board members

6. Use of Assets

7. Determination of membership fees

8. Disqualification of Members

9. Vote on membership applications

10. Continuation of family history and genealogy

11. Dissolution of the Association

12. Election of a Youth Warden

13. Determination of the family day and possible choice of an organizer

14. Amendments to the Articles of Incorporation

3. The chairman presides over the family day; in his absence, a member of the executive board takes his place. 4. There is a quorum when at least five members are present, one of whom must be a member of the Executive Board. When voting, the simple majority decides, unless a 2/3 majority is required in these statutes. In the event of a tie, the vote of the chairman decides. Amendments to the statutes can only be decided if a corresponding application has been made at a previous family day. A 2/3 majority of the voting members present decides on changes to the statutes, decisions on membership and the dissolution of the association. A distribution of the assets to the individual members is excluded.

 

§ 6 Voting Rights

​

1. All full members are entitled to vote for all tasks of the family day mentioned under §5/2.

2. The extraordinary members have voting rights for the points:

• Family Day

• Determination of the contributions, as far as their own contributions are concerned.

• Election of the youth warden

 

§ 7 Guests

​

1. Guests who are not related to the Brossok family may take part in the family days after consultation with the board.

2. Guests can be invited by the Board of Directors if they are related to the Brossok family.

3. Associations of people who also bear the Brossok name and/or are related to the Brossok family can apply for a partnership relationship with the Brossok family association. The group of people can be requested by the board to participate in the family day.

 

§ 8 Youth Warden

​

In order to promote the cooperation of the youth, the family day can elect a youth leader. He carries out his activities in cooperation with the Management Board. He is elected for four years. Re-election is permitted.

 

§ 9 Organization and execution of the family day

​

The board is responsible for the organization and implementation of the family days.

 

§ 10 Validity

​

These statutes come into force immediately after their adoption and remain valid until they are replaced by a new one.
